fall food... fall colours... farmer's market...

An early morning trip to the market netted corn, carrots and cranberries. John is off to golf out of town and I intend to spend the day reading on the deck... or maybe on the dock. When you work from home it seems like there is always work to do, but not today. Should be 85 and I want to take full advantage... maybe wash the car... do errands with the top down... A perfect Fall day!

It really is Fall....

It really is Fall. And so far not the pretty warm sunny Fall. But we are getting some 50s this week with a little bit of sun. John is doing his Fall yard work this week. Clipping back all the plants that need clipping. He (all by himself) brought in the dock. I was amazed that he could do this alone. So this is it... Winter is just around the corner. Again. I think my Dad use to say in Wisconsin it was 6 months of Winter plus 3 months of bad sledding...

I feel bad that I am no help. But after a work weekend at my parents house I've spend the week on crutches. I've just graduated to a knee brace, heat packs and a cane. Ugh.

Fall...

has arrived here in Madison. When I walked yesterday I had to break out jeans and socks. I always wait as long as I can. And in 10 days the Miata goes in storage. That always makes me sad but probably less so this year. It is almost a hassle to have a car DT. And it is certainly a pain to have 2 cars. So for the Winter we will just have John's. That means he can then park 3 floors down in the bowels of the building instead of on the street where he must move his car every 48 hours. In the last two months we have only had 2 times when we both drove our cars at the same time. This may change as he gets busier with talent work. Tomorrow he has a 3 hour photo shoot but he can walk to it.

We are starting to sound like a Seinfeld episode. He ran out to get a haircut for tomorrow's shoot and asked to take my car because he has the 'good' spot on the street.
