2 new (old) fondue pots...
/I use to have little fondue parties but haven't in several years. I do have 2 '70s orange electric fondue pots. But for a party I really needed one more. John's Aunt Jacquie (who I like a lot) took us out for Swiss fondue and then shared about her time in Switzerland and how she has made authentic Swiss fondue and had a pot. I asked that she someday will that pot to me. I like to have things that were pre owned by people I like. The next time we visited she surprised me by giving me her Le Creuset pot that she made her fondue in. And then for my birthday my friend Jane gave me her Mom's Revere Ware fondue pot that I had admired. So it is time to party, fondue party that is.
I have ever been successful with cheese fondue. Aunt Jacquie said you need to use the right cheese. Last time I saw her she gave me her recipes. I also wonder if part of my problem may have been using the electric fondue pots which then could have led to using too high of temperature. Anyway, I now have 2 recipes to try out. Another good Winter project. Plus I owe both Aunt Jacquie and Jane a fondue dinner.
