before & after...
/Yesterday I scored this little footstool at a tag sale. Behind that is my desk chair which I still like. It came from an office supply store and originally it had a purple seat. But I am now over purple and am trying to do a more neutral color palette here. So I covered it with some fabric with letters on it. Still not quite right. What I REALLY want is a really large black and white houndstooth check in an upholstery fabric. And you would think with the internet I would be able to find some but so far no luck.
But many years ago when I lived in Cedar Rapids and the department store Armstrongs went out of business I bought this bolt of fabric which I have now hauled through 3 states. Time to use some...
I am happy with my results! Time: 1/2 hour Cost: $5 I used a glue gun to affix the fabric to the chair seat. And I used a staple gun for the little footstool.
And this will be fine until someday when I stumble on the large black and white houndstooth check fabric of my dreams.
