gallery nite, friday nite
/Gallery night is a twice yearly event organized by the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. I don't think we made it last Fall but last Spring we saw the studio of the artist who does the cartoons in the Isthmus and a 'then' and 'now' aerial photo series of Madison. Both made the night completely worthwhile.
Exhibits are in businesses, galleries, museums and artist's studios. It is free, from 5-9 and you can talk to the artists. These are throughout Madison so you need to plan carefully to get to as many as you want. You cannot possibly get to all as there are 65 this year. Last Spring since we lived downtown we did the downtown ones and walked from place to place. Not sure what our strategy will be this year.
