Spoons

Decided to blog about these spoons even though I made them a while ago. I am looking at all my possessions a little differently... toss, pack, store or move.

These are beaded and have small found objects on them which I love.

Back when I was in art school I was moved by the Pop Art Fur-Lined Cup created by Meret Oppenheim. http://tinyurl.com/yqhpbp I hated even looking at that picture and could not help but look at it. And of course I immediately got a gag response even thinking about that fur spoon.

And that was behind these spoons. These spoons would feel equally bad in your mouth. They are odd little things but the spoon part of the spoon is a perfect place to make a little collage.
