The Bayou, New Orleans Style Tavern
/We've been watching this restaurant take form during our time DT. It is a block from our apartment. And it is now open, the food is great as is the interior. What and eye to detail. They embedded twinkly lights in the ceiling and every hour or so the lights dim and the twinkly lights come on.
A Russian muralist painted life-size portraits of either people who had something to do with the restaurant...
The upper level gives the feeling of being in the French Quarter sitting on a second level balcony watching all the things that go on there.
I had these lovely crab cakes. The bread is flown in from New Orleans and the beignets tastes like you were at Cafe du Monde. A delightful addition to the Madison dining scene.
